Good morning and welcome to Wednesday everyone!
Today is a core class day for the MS and HS! Be sure you are attending every class,
and notifying your teacher if you can’t make it!
Students did you know that each teacher has office hours set aside just for you?
Office hours are a voluntary time when your teachers have a Google Meet open that
you can pop into and ask questions or get help on classwork. Some office hours
may be required by your teacher. If that is the case, make sure you attend...they
want to help you! To find out when your teacher’s office hours are, you can ask via
email, or check their Google Classroom.
Students...remember that you will have work to complete in your classes even on
days that you attend the live Google Meets! The Meet is meant for just
instruction...your assignments will need to be done later.
Attention all 7th – 12th grade girls that are planning on playing High School or Middle
School Basketball this year. Off season practices will be every Monday and
Wednesday from 5pm-7pm beginning this coming Monday September 28th. Strict
Covid protocols will be followed including masks when social distancing isn’t able to
be maintained and only 10 participants (1 coach + 9 players) in each of our 4
designated spaces (2 courts in each the MS and HS gym separated with the
dividers). Because of the numbers limitations we need ALL players who will be
attending to contact Coach Fox at firstname.lastname@example.org and confirm that you
will be participating.
CMHS Dad Joke of the Day:
As I handed my Dad his 50th birthday card, he looked at me with tears in his eyes
“You know, one would have been enough.”
Words of Wisdom...
Here is a challenge for you today Look around to see if there is someone who could use a little kindness. Do you see a student that has been bullied or someone who may be feeling lonely? Offer him or her a few words of encouragement. Even small acts of kindness help to erase hatred and prejudice and spread love throughout the world.
Many centuries ago, a Roman philosopher put it this way:
Wherever there is a human being, there is an opportunity for a kindness.
His words are still true today. Each of us can look for an opportunity to offer kindness. If we are going to eliminate prejudice and hatred in the world, then each one of us must demonstrate our ability to respond with kindness and genuine love. It's everyone's responsibility.
Today, put love into action. Be kind to others. With something to think about, this is Ms. McLean. Make it a great day...or not. The choice is yours.
