October 13th, 2020

Hi everyone. How are you all? Things going well?

Yes, I am standing out in a snowy field.

It's only October 13th. It's too early for snow. But I am out here to say congratulations on holding a Coupeville Schools record! You just experienced the earliest snow day ever in the one hundred plus years of Coupeville Schools! Yes, it was virtual school, and yes technically there was no snow...but it kind of felt like a snow day didn’t it? I hope you all enjoyed your internet free day.

We are back on schedule today with our Tuesday schedule. HS students have live

electives and MS you have office hours and a work day as usual.

Students pay special attention to Google Classroom as some of your weekly

checklists may have changed due to our missed day.

This week CMHS will be sending out two feedback forms. We will send one to

students, we want to see how you are doing during this time. Our second form will

go to parents and guardians. We want to hear from you to know how we can assist

you. Please watch your email.

Our Daily Announcements Daily Question Daily Prize...that is awarded daily! Well

almost daily. We will not have winners today because many of you were unable to

view the announcements yesterday.

CMHS Dad Joke of the Day:

6 out of 7 dwarves are not happy.

Words of Wisdom...

Sorry, I had to type it this morning.  I don't have internet at home and Adobe Acrobat her is being wonky right now.

Have you ever noticed how good it feels to get a job done...to complete a task...to produce something on your own?  Learning to become a productive member of society is an important part of becoming a successful, fulfilled human being.

How do we do this?  George Washington Carver once said:

There is no shortcut to achievement.  Life requires thorough preparation.

In other words, achievement comes after preparation and hard work.  The result is worth the effort.  Today, notice how you feel when you are being productive.

With something to think about, this is Mrs. Dix  .Make it a great day...or not.  The choice is yours.
