Good morning and welcome to a new week! It is Monday and we have
our live core classes today. 3 weeks until our first semester is over.
We have a special school board meeting tonight to talk about what the
remainder of our school year looks like. If you are interested in watching
you can find the link on the website or email me.
I have received a few emails from students and staff members about
football. Not surprisingly there are a lot of Seahawks fans here. As a
Saints fan, I promise I understand the disappointment for fans when
your team loses. Because I understand this, I will never gloat about the
fact that my team won when your team didn’t. It's just a game, after all.
Have a good week everyone.
CMHS Dad Joke of the Day:
What do you call 53 millionaires watching the Superbowl on TV?
The Seattle Seahawks.
Words of Wisdom...
This is Mr. Kappes with a few words of wisdom.
If you're an athlete, you probably know that even when you practice hard and do the best you can, you don't always win. The same is true with academic competition. While winning is fun, you can gain valuable experience simply by doing your best.
Listen to these words:
You can't win all the time. As long as you are doing the best you can, that's important. *
That's good advice. Whether it's on the basketball court or in math class, you can build confidence and gain self-respect by doing your best.
Ask yourself today: Am I doing my best? If the answer is "yes": Congratulations! You are already a winner.
With something to think about, this is Mr. Kappes. Make it a great day . . . or not. The choice is yours.
